3PL Live is a new podcasting website (designed by Sir Lion Labs) discussing leaders and technology in the Freight Industry hosted by Jeremy Thone.
A challenge with this project stems from Jeremy’s admiration of classic and vintage styling whereas the topics discuss in the podcast relate to new technology. Our discovery phase included an exploration of both vintage and futuristic design trends and sought out key characteristics that relate to both the cutting edge and the classic. One element that relates across our three areas of interest– technology, freight trucks, new & classic cars (transportation), and vintage industrial design: Chrome.
The end result is a sleek, chrome-inspired icon to represent both the past and the future. The robust design and styling is something familiar and could easily feel at home as a badge on a truck grill, emblem on an audio speaker, or even a digital application icon!
