Does your logo appropriately convey your brand’s vision?

November 1st, 2017

Angela’s starting a new dog grooming business in Laguna Beach called “Dog Tub.” When she came to us for a logo design, she originally wanted something cute and playful, using a bright color pallet, with a Husky in a bath tub. We designed her a wonderful logo that met all her criteria. She loved it but felt that it did not convey her vision for her company.

Laguna Beach is known for its artistically upscale aesthetics and home to many wealthy clientele. The logo didn’t quite capture the look and feel she felt would fit in to the local community. In addition, as she was setting up the location’s interior design, the color pallet needed change. We jumped back to the drawing board and came up with something new.

The new look portrays a sense of luxury while still playful with the cursive typeface. The Husky was replaced with an ambiguous dog shape as to avoid bias with any one particular dog breed. She loves it! We’re really looking forward to seeing her business grow.

It’s important to notice how branding plays a key role in a brand’s vision. Even a beautiful and clever logo can miss the mark if the vision is not met. This is why it’s important to hire a professional graphic designer to make sure the vision carried throughout the company’s branding.
